Anyone can have a funeral at St Barnabas church. Although a person’s life on earth has come to an end we believe that, in God, life continues and our loved ones are at rest. Funerals take many forms, we welcome the opportunity to help you celebrate the life of your loved ones. This can be a small, quiet ceremony or a large occasion: it may take place in church, crematorium, burial ground or a combination of these. We can hold services of thanksgiving (that is, a service after the burial or cremation), which is sometimes a preferred option for families, especially following a direct cremation.
Our brochure Arranging a Funeral or Thanksgiving Service gives you lots more information.
Arrangements are normally made through funeral directors in the first instance, however you can enquire direct using the form below, or contact the Vicar.
Direct Cremations
We can help you arrange a Service of Thanksgiving at St Barnabas for a loved one, independently of other arrangements, with or without the oversight of a Funeral Director. Please just ask the Vicar.
