Our Autumn course this year is Church Going: an exploration of Christianity in our parish.
For most people today, the idea of ‘going to church’ is a peculiar and outdated practice. Yet, within church communities, the idea of regular attendance at Sunday worship remains the defining characteristic of what being a Christian looks like. Drawing on experts in the field and reflecting on biblical passages, these four sessions will help us make better sense of the cultural differences between those of us who still go to church, and those who don't. There will be plenty of time for exploration and discussion, to think about what that means for our mission here at St Barnabas.
It runs on Tuesday evenings (7:00pm) and Wednesday afternoons (2:30pm), in our Parish Centre. We will be drawing on various experts in the field, all are most welcome.
