Congratulations! By reading this page you and your partner are taking another step along the road of your commitment to one another. We are delighted that you are thinking about getting married at St Barnabas: a lovely 1920’s church built by a local family of builders with Art Nouveau windows and gardens which provide a beautiful location for wedding photographs.
Christian marriage isn’t just about the wedding day and saying the right words. It’s a lifelong commitment and needs thought and preparation, we are able to guide you through that, as well as helping you plan the Marriage service itself.

Here are two sources of help to get you started:
Our Wedding brochure has lots of useful guidance: click this link for our ‘Arranging a Wedding’ brochure.
- There is also a good deal of useful information to help you plan your wedding service, on the Church of England website.
Wedding Banns
If you are getting married elsewhere and live in the parish of Emmer Green and Caversham Park, and need your banns to be read at St Barnabas, please fill in the Banns Enquiry Form at the very bottom of this page, and click ‘Submit’. We’ll get back to you!
